University of the Philippines Ecological Society’s mangrove planting activity at Naga City, Cebu, as part of their celebration of Bioweek 2013.

Since we love cupcakes so much, we decided to sacrifice our weekend and dedicate a Saturday to bake cupcakes! Yay! It’s so much fun to bake with friends. We bonded over measuring, sifting, and watching the cupcakes bake to perfection (naks!). 

We decided to bake Red Velvet Cupcakes ala Georgetown Cupcakes (that place on the show “DC Cupcakes”). The cupcakes were light and divine, but the frosting didn’t peak. Maybe it’s because of the sugar, or maybe it lacked a tad bit of “air time”, under the Kitchen Aide. 

Nevertheless, it was tons of fun! And everyone enjoyed filling their little tummies with these treats. Hoping for more cupcake Saturdays :) xx
